Xosha Kai Roquemore ( conceived December 11, 1984) is an American entertainer. She is most popular for her jobs as Jo Ann in Precious and Tamra in The Mindy Project. 

Roquemore was conceived in 1984 in Los Angeles, and is named after the Xhosa individuals of South Africa. She began acting when she joined The Amazing Grace Conservatory, in ninth grade. In the wake of graduating secondary school, she moved to New York City and moved on from the Tisch program at New York University.

Roquemore featured in her first significant film as Jo Ann in Precious. In 2013, she was projected in a repetitive job on Kirstie, in light of her work in the arrangement pilot. Her job, notwithstanding, was reevaluated after she was added as an arrangement normal to The Mindy Project after a three scene visitor star stint.

Roquemore was involved with entertainer Lakeith Stanfield since at any rate August 2015. In March 2017 the couple reported they were expecting their first youngster together, and the child young lady was brought into the world soon thereafter. Lakeith cut off their sentimental association leaving Roquemore however they co-parent their daughter.
